Indiana Joint Replacement Institute (“IJRI”) is developing an outpatient perioperative environment which aims to guide patients safely and thoroughly through their surgical procedure. IJRI uses a team-based approach to identify surgical need, optimize medical management, safely provide anesthesia, and perform surgical procedure, with the intent of returning the patient to their home post-operatively to allow for maximal healing. This partnership is in collaboration with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and others to ensure a smooth transition out of the ambulatory surgical center and back to their own home.
